Design Rationale
This project focuses on the fields of speculative design, and the methodology of creating fiction using design. Through using the question, "What if humans stopped the natural process of sleep?", I developed speculative design artefacts that use fiction to create an alternative world where individuals are encouraged to always stay awake. A brand identity was created to build a speculative company that uses science and technology to modify the natural process of sleep in the human body. I designed speculative pharmaceutical blister pack packaging and ad campaign posters to give audiences a glimpse of a wakeful world.
